The Smart DRIVER TRAINING program
includes 25 hours of classroom
instruction and 10.5 hours of one-on-one
instruction behind the wheel.

INSURANCE DISCOUNTS

The Smart DRIVER TRAINING program
provides the equivalent of three years of
driving experience, plus our graduated licence
certificate with the MRD number means big
discounts from insurance companies.

QUALIFIED INSTRUCTORS

Paul Prowse, Owner/Operator

Paul worked with Metrobus in St. John's for more than 28 years - 11 as a Transit Operator, 11 as a Transit Supervisor, and more than 6 with the Transit Driver Training Department. Paul has been a Driver Trainer for more than 25 years and is certified nationally with the Canada Safety Council in the Professional Driver Improvement Course (PDIC) and the Defensive Driving Course (DDC). Through his work with the Canadian Urban Transit Association, Paul has been certified in the Professional Instructor in Driver Education (PRIDE) program and in the Smart DRIVER Program which teaches fuel efficient driving techniques to help reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.

Smart DRIVER TRAINING Instructors are Graduated Licencing Program Certified Instructors with Newfoundland Labrador Motor Registration Division.

One hour practice to prepare for test, practice test, half hour for the test plus travel time
